The authentic
sailing experience from the golden age of yachting. Creole is a three masted
schooner built by Camper & Nicholsons and launched in 1927 for her original
owner, an American yachtsman with grand ambitions, she is to this day the
largest wooden sailing yacht ever built. A yacht steeped in history that her
current owning family, who have been her custodians for over 40 years,
endeavour to honour with her superb maintenance programme.
Creole is kept true to her traditions and 1920s style whilst
offering a truly unique charter experience. Serene and spellbinding under sail,
charterers may learn the ropes with the 15 strong crew, led by Captain Richard
Kellett, or simply lay back and enjoy the sensation of this queen of the seas
under way. At anchor or in port at night, Creole’s world class cuisine and
service come into play, with Chef Fabrizio Latino of Balthazar St Moritz
serving divine dishes under the stars.
Accommodation on board is for up to 11 guests in 6 cabins, all
en-suite. The welcoming master cabin, in warm tones of walnut and elegant
marquetry, features a desk and seating area as well as a bathroom with a bath
and separate shower. The double and VIP double cabins all feature baths in the
bathrooms and the twin and single cabins have showers.
The lower deck salon, in stylish green stingray paired with
parquet flooring exudes a calm aura, for lounging or interior dining. The
coffee tables, ideal for a spot of backgammon or an afternoon tea in the shade,
convert into a full 12 seat dining table for those days when the temperature on
deck is not quite right for dining.
The upper deck salon is a further testament to 1920’s chic, ornate
parquet flooring, silken roll back sofas and original artworks all curated by
the owing family to be perfectly in keeping with Creole’s roots.
Out on deck you can lounge, lunch, dine or sail
to your heart’s content. The cockpit offers shelter and a secluded spot to sit
and the on deck dining table ensures exceptional views at every meal, be it of
a beautiful bay or simply of Creole herself, a 1927 masterpiece.
